enodia_ooc | (no subject)

Hi! Cole is and isn't new. He was with Enodia pretty much when it opened and then disappeared two years ago without a goddamned word to anyone. Those who were there probably think he ghosted, those who are new might have heard that he peaced? IDK, UP TO YOU.

In reality, Cole was a very talented artist who could put out pretty much flawless forgeries. He had a deal with some people who would switch out the fakes for real art and then he got a cut for his work. (Like, money is money, ok.) He worked with his bestie, Ophelia, for a while until she was like 'Hey, maybe we should stop?' He did one more job without her and well...his studio was infiltrated by a rivaling group of artists/art dealers/whatever doesn't sound so cheesy. Anyway, they came for him and his powers (I'll explain in a sec) got him out of there and into...who knows where. Cole certainly doesn't know. But he chased his tail for two years and only just found an exit. He's being picked up from Burlington tonight!

He was/is an explorer and he'll pick up a secondary job soon. He has to get used to being around people again. Being isolated by yourself for about 730 days is a long time!

Powers: he can change the color of anything. This is especially useful at the grocery store when his total magically goes from $20 to $2 at the check out. :) He also has a power that basically gets him out of anything. If he's in trouble, an exit will appear for him. Be it a door, a hole in the wall, a sudden pit opening beneath his feet. His third power is not something he can control, but sometimes those holes, doors, etc, can portal him to somewhere else. He cannot create those on his own, they just...happen! And always in conjunction with his need for escape.

He's 37--very charming. He won't ever tell you what's wrong, but he'll carefully protect the rest of his friends to ensure that they're okay. He loves art and music and reading. Catch him covering the sidewalks with chalk paintings.

He had friends before he disappeared (if you're interested in that, pls hit me up so we can do a lil side plotting!) and he'll make new friends now that he's back! Excited for the potential to plot with you. :)

Oooh, cool, fun, whacky powers!! Annie would have overlapped with Cole for about a year before he disappeared. She was a little weirder (if possible) back then and more reserved, but still friendly and eager to impress the other explorers.

I think Cole very much enjoyed Annie's weirdness. I imagine he bugged her a lot about her thoughts and opinions. Kept an eye out for her. He's an encouraging dude--he'd compliment frequently, but not so much that it didn't mean anything.

Aww, I bet she was super sad when he disappeared. She's easily charmed by people who seem to care about her silly little thoughts and opinions. I'll see how they vibe in convo but I can definitely see a younger Annie nurturing a little crush on Cole.

HI SORRY I have been a shell of a human because of jetlag but at the VERY least these two knew each other given that Noah has been here since the beginning and is also an explorer. I imagine they'd get along and both completely avoid ever talking about their own feelings like the successful adult men they are.

I've been preparing for Taylor Swift, so IDEK how I got him written tbh.

I think they could've been buddies. Noah is super cool and Cole is pretty chill. So let's say they're friends and go from there.

And don't think he won't be coming for baked goods, Hypatia. He's coming for them.
