hello! new character!

Hello everyone it's JJ and I have my new character here.

❖ This is Dr. Taryn Payne. She is Minty's aunt. Exploration/Research.

❖ Taryn is an author and anthropologist who has been obsessed with liminals and liminal culture for decades. She herself has only been a liminal for about a year, however.

❖ She is a longtime IRIS collaborator and has worked at several stations. She was at Enodia during its first year or so, and you may know her from then! At that time she only worked in Research (due to not being a liminal herself), so she's still a newcomer to the exploration division.

❖ As far as lines go I'd love friends and enemies alike. I imagine she wasn't like, super popular at Enodia when she was here. She's a little bit of a pest! Why would they let her be an explorer now! Ugh!!! She can also know ppl from other IRIS stations/projects too.

❖ Notorious amongst long-time IRIS employees for sometimes stealing people's powers for her characters in her novels. Her most recent novel features a character who is blatantly based on Tom, although she denies this was her intention 😌

Days later I re-emerge and I've been thinking about it more and maybe it was more hostile flirting that never *actually* led to a hookup but like ... it coulda. That I think leaves them more options to actually play, rather than have it in the past!

Lou remembers her from before but he was only in Exploration then. If she was in academia studying liminal culture before that, she might have come across him studying/writing/arguing about liminal art.

Max is the most relevant one, being research/exploration, and I feel like they'd get along swimmingly. Like their respective personalities might have prevented them from really being what you could call friends per se, but they have a lot in common.

Alternately, they could be frenemies too if you prefer. Because they do have a lot in common, and sometimes that's bad lol
